on April 9th, 2010 Dr.H.Q. Kennady at Walmart vision center 100 Walmart Dr. Elizabethtown, Ky. in my opinion Dr. Kennady did me a gross disservice in the way he handled my examination and perscription for bifocal glasses. this is the worst pair of glasses that i have ever had prescribed for me. i was at the time of my visit to Dr. Kennady wearing bifocals that was approx 13 years old. it was decided that it was time for me to get an examination for new glasses. i can still see better out of my 13 year old glasses than i can out or the new glasses that was prescribed by Dr.Kennady. when my eye examination was being performed by Dr. Kennady he mentioned to me that i had some Cadaracts in my right eye, and that was all that was said. he finished the exam and wrote out a prescription for my new glasses. when the glasses came in i was called to come and pick them up. they tried them on me and i told them that there was something wrong with the prescription, that i could not see good with the new glasses. i was sent back to see Dr. Kennedy. when i walked in his office he immediately said "your vision won't get any better until the Cadaracts are taken off." when he was performing my examination and told me that i had some Cadaracct in my right eye. at no time did he say to me anything like " let's stop the examination, i cannot give you a prescription that will make you see properly, until you have the Cadatacts removed. He didnot recommend that i have any cataract surgery or do anything that would help me. he proceeded with the prescription for new glasses, which are of no real use to me at all. in my opinion Dr. H.Q. Kennady did me a disservice, maybe for his $39.00 examination fee. Dr. H. Q. Kennady is probably a good man, but i am very unhappy with the way that he handled my situation for new glasses. i feel like i wasted a little over $132. i am giving a lot of thought too filing a formal complaint with the Kentucky Optometric Association. i'm sorry, but that is the way i am currently feeling. thank you for reading my comments. Dr. Kennady's been doing mine and my family's eye exams for years, and has NEVER gotten our prescriptions wrong. When I speak to others in the waiting room, they're usually there to see Dr. Kennady for the same reason I do - trusted service! I think the previous reviewer is absolutely incorrect.
